Description

Levi Logistics LLC is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Haul Truck Driver to transport oversized, overweight, and specialized freight. The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial vehicles, securing loads, complying with DOT regulations, and delivering freight safely and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.


Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable CDL driving experience preferred.
  • Heavy haul and oversize load experience preferred.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and comply with oversize/overweight permits.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods and work flexible schedules.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and securing loads.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must meet all DOT physical requirements.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience hauling construction equipment, agricultural equipment, industrial machinery, wind components, or other oversized freight.
  • Experience with multi-state permit compliance and route planning.
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy haul trucks and trailers to transport oversized and overweight loads.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment and cargo.
  • Properly secure loads using chains, straps, binders, tarps, and other securement devices.
  • Plan routes in compliance with permit requirements and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, fuel records, inspection reports, and shipping documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding load status, route changes, delays, and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws, including DOT and FMCSA regulations.
  • Safely load and unload equipment when required.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report maintenance issues.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive relationship with customers, vendors, and law enforcement officials.
  • Operate specialized equipment such as RGN, lowboy, step deck, and multi-axle trailers as assigned.
